Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchin s with Community Recognition Award
Mechanicsburg, PA – December 21, 2023
The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg because the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is introduced annually to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to improving the lives of kids in our group.
Brian Houchins, a devoted elementary faculty teacher and community volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s training and welfare. Over the past ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of numerous youngsters in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives embody establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged students, weekend workshops focusing on literacy and numeracy skills for at-risk youth, and main a successful community-driven marketing campaign to upgrade native playgrounds, ensuring safe and inclusive play spaces for all children.
The award ceremony shall be held on January 15, 2024, at the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The event will function speeches from native dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
