Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award
Mechanicsburg, PA – December 21, 2023
The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchin s of Mechanicsburg because the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is presented annually to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to enhancing the lives of kids in our community.
Brian Houchins, a devoted elementary college instructor and neighborhood volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s education and welfare. Over the past ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of numerous children in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives include establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged students, weekend workshops specializing in literacy and numeracy abilities for at-risk youth, and main a profitable community-driven marketing campaign to improve local playgrounds, guaranteeing secure and inclusive play spaces for all youngsters.
The award ceremony shall be held on January 15, 2024, at the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The occasion will function speeches from local dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
